Ecosystem Grants

The EDP accepts proposals for Ecosystem Grants on a rolling basis for projects that enhance and expand the SHx ecosystem. It welcomes innovative ideas across a wide range of categories that contribute to the SHx ecosystem's growth and development.

Eligible Project Categories

Ecosystem Grants can be offered in support of various initiatives, including, but not limited to:

  • Infrastructure and tooling development

  • Community engagement and education programs

  • Integration solutions

  • Governance tools and improvements

  • Research and analysis projects

Application Process

  1. Initial Concept Submission

    • Brief project overview

    • Expected impact on SHx ecosystem

    • Estimated resource requirements

    • Team background

  2. Full Proposal (by invitation)

    • Detailed project description and technical specifications

    • Implementation timeline with clear milestones

    • Comprehensive budget breakdown

    • Team qualifications and experience

    • Success metrics and KPIs

    • Long-term maintenance and sustainability plan

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals are evaluated based on:

  • Potential impact on SHx ecosystem

  • Technical feasibility

  • Team capability and track record

  • Resource requirements and cost efficiency

  • Implementation timeline

  • Long-term sustainability

  • Innovation level

  • Community benefit

Grant Structure

  • Funding is disbursed based on achievement of predetermined milestones

  • Regular progress check-ins with the EDP team

  • Technical support and mentorship available when needed

  • Final deliverable requirements specified in grant agreement

Reporting Requirements

Grant recipients must provide:

  • Milestone completion reports

  • Final project documentation

  • Open source code (where applicable)

  • Community engagement metrics
